Ancelotti Decide Rest for 10 Months

Carlo Ancelotti, who has just been fired by Bayern Munich, denied going back in training any time soon. The 58-year-old said he wanted to rest first, at least for the next 10 months.

0-3 defeat of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in qualifying Group B Champions League on Wednesday (27/09/2017), made the board of directors of Bayern decided to sack Ancelotti. This dismissal was done after the officials held an impromptu meeting on Thursday (9/28/2017) afternoon local time.

The decision was somewhat surprising, given the new Bayern lost twice in the early 2017-2018 season. In the last season the Italian coach managed to deliver Die Rotten won the German League title and the German Super Cup.

Now, after losing his job, Ancelotti is directly linked with several clubs. AC Milan, Everton and several offers from China immediately surfaced.

However, Ancelotti denied all the rumors. He insists that does not accept any club proposal until the start of the 2018-2019 season.

“I will rest for the next 10 months and I will not coach any team in those days,” Ancelotti said as quoted by Calciomercato.

Choosing not to accept any club offer until the new season is not something unfamiliar to Ancelotti. He also did the same after Real Madrid released in late 2014-2015.

Ancelotti chose to take a break from the football world that put him under pressure. When asked about dismissal by Bayern, Ancelotti was reluctant to comment.

“It would be better if I shut my mouth, I’m very happy to be there and a job I really want,” Ancelotti said.
